Cutting oil can play an integral role in efficiency and tool life as well as the quality of parts produced. That is why Gent Machine is beginning to run more jobs using Blaser cutting oils. Blaser offers a vegetable ester oil and a Mineral oil-based cutting oil. We use the vegetable oil base on our CNC because it's made especially for machining tough materials. Its superior lubricating properties allow us to cut faster while maintaining low temperatures and minimal mist and smoke generation. It's also chlorine free and made from renewable materials so it's environmentally friendly. We're also converting our Davenports to the Mineral-oil based Blaser cutting oil. The Mineral oil also allows our Davenports to cut faster while controlling the tool temperature and maintaining lubrication properties. It protects the parts and tools from corrosion and as a bonus it smells good too.
