With January 2023 coming to an end, Gent machine saw it's highest sales month in the history of the company. This will easily go down in the record books because it was well over our estimated sales for January and February combined and in fact it was more than twice our projections for just January. It is safe to say that a pull back in December's shipments help propel January's shipments. In fact, this is a common practice in order for our customers to reduce inventory at year end. However the increase far exceeded our expectations. Because of this, we expect February to show a sharp decline from January's numbers but we still expect to see higher than normal due to our largest customers taking more parts than years past. In addition, we've welcomed several new customers and employees that have helped us increase our output. One of these customers will bring an additional $1 million dollars to our bottom line while the combination of the others will also contribute an additional $1 million+ in sales.

The next step for Gent Machine is to make the best of this increase in sales by increasing efficiency and decreasing costs in order to maximize our profit. This is certainly easier said than done and easier than simply increasing sales. This change speaks to the fundamentals of our employee base and ensuring they follow our processes. With the help of our management team and our supervisors I expect to see an improvement but will it be enough of an improvement is the big question.
