The sales group at Gent Machine has seen an increased number of inquiries requiring secondary processes. In order to field these inquiries we have invested in an Omniturn GT75. It is a single spindle CNC controlled chucking machine with a versatile gang plate. We purchased it with an NSK live spindle and as a turnkey machine which drills an eccentric hole in a hex part for the oil industry. Once the hole is drilled, our assembly department then press fits a copper pin through the hole. Since then we have purchased a second NSK live spindle to spot the hole before drilling through and therefore increase our output. We can never have too low of an output!

This past May (2018) marked our one year anniversary in our new facility. Our growth continued by adding 2 more Acme machines and a beefed up staff to keep them runnning.

You will now notice 8 Acme machines instead of the original 6.

In addition, we’ve added a second Hydromat, shown below in Blue.

This is a Legacy machine, 16 station with a 45mm capacity. It is not full CNC like the maroon Epic machine but it is hydraulic and fully rebuilt.

Depeding on current personnel, we plan to continue to add to our workload and not let up.

After two weeks of moving equipment and another 3 weeks of shuttling odds and ends back and forth, the move is complete. Of course, this posting is about 6 months late.

As you can see by the pictures below we have a lot more room for equipment and have already added 3 more machines to our floor. We still have lots of room for more machines!!

Thanks to new technology and products on the market, Gent Machine can now offer a nano coating technology.

Although we aren’t exclusive to one product, our research was directed toward the Nano-clear product. We researched this product when quoting a temperature control knob for your vehicle. As a supplier to the automotive industry we not only want to produce parts that go into the mechanics but also parts that are visible and used every day. These parts require a visually perfect exterior, which we are capable or producing using our swiss cnc machines. Then, with the help of a nano coating, the part’s finish will be more durable and will last longer than parts made several years ago.

Nano-clear, specifically, provides extreme corrosion resistance, abrasion, chemical & UV resistance, water repellency and reduced surface maintenance. Nano-Clear NCI-RC penetrates deep into the pores of newly painted or highly oxidized paints, enhances color, improves gloss, increases surface hardness and extends UV resistance. Nano-Clear is a 1K humidity cured / highly cross-linked polyurethane hybrid nanocoating.

Similar to this product are other nano coatings which provide a super hydrophobic layer. This term simply means ‘afraid of water’ and if you watch any of the videos online these super hydrophobic products turn almost anything into a water, dirt, grime, etc. repellant. To accomodate a growing customer, Gent Machine placed an order for a new machine last week. We decided on a Eurotech Elite Trofeo B446SY2 which is expected to arrive in 2 weeks.
